With the put in near the 13,000 foot peaks of Sequoia and Kings National Park, the Kaweah River run is easily one of the more scenic whitewater runs in California. It also has one of the longest continuous stretches of Class IV rapids in California, this stretch marks the start of this river run. The rapids become Class II and III from the town of Three Rivers to the take out site.
