Grapevine Canyon is a scenic and historic route that runs for almost 14 miles through the rugged Anza Borrego Desert of southern California. The trail was used as a horse and wagon route by settlers and miners and was also once the home of the Kumeyaay Indians. The off-road trail features no major obstacles but the road is rough and becomes narrow and rocky in parts. There are also parts of the road with steep dropoffs to one side. High-clearance 4WD vehicles are recommended.
