The Cloudland Truck Trail climbs up through the national forest on the south-facing slopes of the San Bernardino Mountains until its convergence with Highway 18. The ride climbs over 2000 feet and offers excellent views of the San Bernardino area below. The route is rated as moderate in difficulty and consists of a mostly hardpacked dirt road with some ruts and rocks. There are a few steep sections that can be more difficult, especially during extreme weather conditions. Any 4x4 stock SUV with decent clearance should manage without a problem.
