Cloudland Cutoff starts from Highway 18 just south of Crestline and climbs up the south-facing slopes of the San Bernardino Mountains. The ride ends at a lookout and paragliding/hang gliding launch that offers excellent views of the San Bernardino area below. The ride is easy-to-moderate in difficulty and consists of a mostly hardpacked dirt road with some ruts, rocks, and off. Any stock SUV should be sufficient. The trail can be done as an out-and-back or connected to the Cloudland Truck Trail for additional exploration.
