The ride up to Clarks Summit explores a rugged and less-traveled area on the back side of Snow Summit Ski Area in the San Bernardino National Forest. Part of the route also takes place on the popular Skyline Drive which also offers some great views. The ride is moderate in difficulty and features some sections of steep and narrow road, especially coming down from clarks Summit. Wide vehicles may have a tough time in the narrow spots with brush on both sides. Overall though the ride is suitable for most stock 4x4s equipped with skid plates. The route is not open to ATVs, UTVs, and motorcycles.
