American River Trail, also known as Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail, is a paved trail that follows the banks of the American River through bordering woodlands in an urban setting. The trail begins from Beals Point of Folsom Lake and ends at Discovery Park; both of which have parking lots. Also, there are several additional parking lots along the trail to shorten the ride.
