Lake Winneshiek is a 4635 acre lake located in Crawford County in the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing off of Great River Road. The views and scenery are phenomenal. The shorelines are filled with thick forest and marshlands. There are numerous forested islands on the lake and many places to explore. Wildlife is abundant and the natural beauty of the area is overwhelming.
