Washington and Tail Lakes are nestled high in the Uintas along Mirror Lake Highway. A fairly large lake, these two are connected when water levels are high. The beautiful alpine setting makes for pleasant paddling. There are two large campgrounds right at the lake and summer weekends can be busy, but the lake is large enough that it still creates a peaceful setting. There are several other small lakes nearby that you can explore.
