Cottonwood Creek is a hidden treasure with fantastic whitewater. Beginning just below Joe’s Valley Reservoir expect almost continuous Class 3 and 4 whitewater. There are large boulders, logs, tight turns lots of play spots and narrow twisting drops. It is best run at levels between 450-700 cfs. Hwy 29 runs closely enough that you can scout most of the trip. Be sure to takeout at the bridge because just below a diversions dam blocks the way.
