The Mothership is a great overhanging boulder, but a long distance away. Perhaps not worth the long hike for this boulder alone, but the hike is beautiful and the Back Country area, nice. Suggest also climbing on Hard Wood to make the trip worthwhile. It's in Palo Duro Canyon State Park, which is one of the few climbing areas in the Amarillo area. Most of the available climbing is bouldering because of the poor rock quality. Please be delicate with the holds and try to preserve the classic routes. Some taller walls exist, but be extremely careful.
