Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area is located in northeastern Texas and offers some of the best off-roading available in the area. The trail system is maintained and owned by the Texas Motorized Trail Coalition and consists of a variety of trail options that range in difficulty. The main road provides access to the many connecting trails and is rated as easy. Linda Gail trail is located in the central part of the park and offers a fun, moderately difficult section of trail that features some off camber roads that are passable by stock SUVs. An off-road OHV sticker from Texas Parks and Wildlife is required as well as a daily use fee for use in the park.
