Hard Wood is an outstanding boulder, but you got to pay the price to get to it. It's in the Back Country area. Long hike and perhaps not worth it for just this boulder. But it does have good potential on every side. Maybe you can link a trip up with this and The Mothership to make it worthwhile. It's in Palo Duro Canyon State Park, which is one of the few climbing areas in the Amarillo area. Most of the available climbing is bouldering because of the poor rock quality. Please be delicate with the holds and try to preserve the classic routes. Some taller walls exist, but be extremely careful.
