Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area is located in northeastern Texas and offers some of the best off-roading available in the area. The trail system is maintained and owned by the Texas Motorized Trail Coalition and consists of a variety of trail options that range in difficulty. The main road provides access to the many connecting trails and is rated as easy with no obstacles or hazards. An off-road OHV sticker from Texas Parks and Wildlife is required as well as a daily use fee for use in the park.
