Although there are busy times along this trail, the beauty of the Willamette River running along downtown Portland is worth the visit and continues to draw locals daily. Bikers, runners, skateboarders, picnickers, and boat viewers all use this gorgeous trail that helps preserve the water along the trail. Likewise, many community events happen at the 40-acre McCall Park, of which the trail is part.
