Most of the area within Hells Canyon's three reservoirs is situated near the National Recreation Area. Fishing and boating are popular activities here. Oxbow is the smaller reservoir of the Hells Canyon complex, and it is approximately 13 miles north of the Brownlee Reservoir. It is located on the Snake River, Idaho's largest Wild and Scenic River. While paddling, you can enjoy the beautiful cliffs and colorful rocks that surround the shores of the waters.
