Starting on a abandoned paved road in a forest of fir trees, cyclists and hikers alike can enjoy overlooks of the Columbia River along the old US Hwy 30. This segment of the closed off road passes through the Twin Tunnels and opens to a different climate with Ponderosa pine in semiarid terrain. The wind can be very fast along the trail, but views of the Columbia Gorge are beautiful.
