Potter's Pasture was constructed using existing livestock trails for the use of outdoor recreation, and livestock are still being used to help maintain it today. Due to the hoof-trodden tracks, the dirt trails can be quite worn, narrow, and bumpy. There are a network of routes laced among the hillsides; where many, if not all somehow connect to one another and can be combined for a mixed adventure. Adaptability is important as future expansion can cause the layout to change. The beginning half of this particular route has a steady climb with minimal elevation. The last half consists of three ascents and descents, each spiking in elevation over 100 feet. Note that both hikers and bikers use the trails regularly.
