Potter's Pasture was constructed using existing livestock trails for the use of outdoor recreation, and livestock are still being used to help maintain it today. Due to the hoof-trodden tracks, the dirt trails can be quite worn, narrow, and bumpy. There are a network of routes laced among the hillsides; where many, if not all somehow connect to one another and can be combined for a mixed adventure. Adaptability is important as future expansion can cause the layout to change. This particular route loops almost around the entire Potter's trail system. Toward the middle of the trip one will travel along elevated plains, experiencing open views of the landscape. Note that both hikers and bikers use the trails regularly.
