Merritt Reservoir is a scenic 3000-acre reservoir created on the Snake River as it makes its way through the Sandhills of northern Nebraska. The lake is popular for fishing and boating. A state recreation area is spread out along the shoreline of the lake and offers multiple camping areas. Boardman Campground offers sites for tent, trailer, and RV camping. All sites have picnic tables, fire pits, and many also have electric hookups. Additional state park amenities include drinking water, restrooms, and showers. Sites are $15-$30 per night and can be reserved online up until 3 days before arrival.
