Power Line Buttress | Gallatin County, Montana

Powerline Buttress is the largest formation along the Bozeman Pass climbing area. Located west of Fat Man, Uff Da and Recess Wall, approach the buttress by hiking along the main trail before linking up with what is known as “west trail”. Continue hiking west wrapping around the bottom of the Uff Da Formation and then onto the base of Powerline Buttress. Although the rock here can be a bit dirty, routes will continue to clean up on the well sustained climbs as years go on. Enjoy the longer climbs and faces here compared to the surrounding crags.
