The Superior Hiking Trail is among the top ten best hiking trails in the Unites States. In all it is over 270 miles long (from Duluth to the Canadian Border) and follows a rocky ridgeline on Minnesota's North Shore along Lake Superior. This part of the trail displays the beauty of the area wonderfully. The forest that the path runs through is full of birch, aspen, pine, fir, and cedar. Be apprised that if you bring a dog it must be kept on a leash. Also, you are required to make at least one wet-foot river crossing.
