Michigan offers over 6500 miles of designated and groomed snowmobile trails for riders to explore during the winter. The trails are split into 4 different regions between the Upper and Lower Peninsulas. This ride on the southern Lower Peninsula follows LP 3 for 12 miles between the northern outskirts of Newaygo up to the 1 Mile Road staging area northwest of White Cloud. The ride has moderate changes in elevation and no major obstacles or hazards. Trails are open for riding between December 1st and March 31st. For current trail status and riding conditions contact the Michigan DNR or Newaygo County Snowmobile Association. A current Michigan registration and trail permit are required for riding.
