The Huron-Sand Lake Spur Trail starts just north of Sand Lake and travels north through Huron National Forest to the junction with the 35-mile Huron ORV Trail. The out-and-back trail is 9 miles long and is wide with very little change in elevation. There are some sandy sections. The trail is open to motorized vehicles that are 50 inches less or width. A Michigan ORV sticker and trail permit are required for riding this trail and the Huron ORV trail.
