Highland Recreation Area encompasses over 5900 acres of wilderness that includes forests, lakes, and marshes. The area provides excellent opportunities for many types of recreation including hiking, biking, paddling, wildlife viewing, camping, and more. The campground includes 25 rustic sites that can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs up to 45 feet max length. The sites are equipped with picnic tables and fire pits. Restrooms and drinking water are also located within the campground. The sites are $13 per night and can be reserved online through the state park website.
