The Fred Meijer White Pine Trail runs for 92 miles between the communities of Cadillac and Grand Rapids on Michigan's lower peninsula. The trail is a mix of pavement and gravel and is used for all types of recreation including snowmobiling during the winter. This section of the trail starts from Howard City and travels south for approximately 24 miles to the city of Belmont. The trail is mostly flat and there are no major obstacles or hazards. Snowmobiling in Michigan requires machine registration and a Michigan trail permit.
