The Bill Nicholls Trail runs for 41 miles in the Upper Peninsula between Mass City and Houghton and offers visitors excellent opportunity for taking in great scenery and seeing lots of wildlife. The trail is open for many types of recreation including snowmobiling in the winter. The trail follows an old rail trail that is fairly flat but there are some ups and downs along the way, especially at the beginning and towards the turnaround in Houghton. Be sure to check current trail and riding conditions before setting out.
