Big Bear Trail covers over 20 miles through state forest land in the northern part of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. The trail is open to ORVs 50 inches in width or less including motorcycles. The trail is mostly flat with some sandy and rocky sections but the much of the trail is hard-packed dirt. There are some small ups and downs and twists and turns. An ORV license and trail permit are required for riding. The trail also connects to the Crapo Creek Trail and North Branch Route for additional riding opportunity.
