This is a challenging century ride that involves 5,500-feet of climbing that is mostly all crammed into the first 62 miles of the ride. The Souhegan River Classic is painful but beautiful as it takes you through some of the best cycling roads of northcentral Massachusetts and some through southcentral New Hampshire. Virtually the entire route is on low-traffic back roads with gorgeous scenery of expansive open lands, some water scenes, and quaint little towns.
