Red River Gorge (RRG) is in a unique insular pocket of rural Kentucky. The local soda cures what ails you. Miguel’s, the standard hangout has boundless, cheap, quality car camping with savory pizza. Together with the rock, this is a well-deserved star of climbing. The Military Wall is located in Gray’s Branch north of Mountain Parkway, and close to Nada Tunnel. It offers some of the best sport climbing in the south and is where some of the earliest routes in RRG were discovered.
