Hikers, cross-country skiers and hunters are welcome. Be aware of ticks and poison ivy. Going around the lake, with thick woods surrounding it for most of the hike, you have great views the whole time. If you choose to stay overnight, there is camping available and cabins for rent. The lake provides good fishing and in the winter months you can also do sledding and ice skating.

I explored several trails this past weekend at Hickory Hills. During this time of year (July) the grass is really tall. However, the trails are marked very well and easy to tread. It is gorgeous out. There is a large lake to enjoy kayak, etc and several shelters available. There are camping sites. There is a section where select animals can be viewed: chicken, buffalo, and goats. Have fun!
