Powell Campground offers scenic and shady campsites next to the banks of the Lochsa Wild and Scenic River in the Nez-Perce Clearwater National Forests. Just across the river is the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Area which provides great opportunities for hiking and horseback riding. The campground includes 33 sites over two loops. Sites can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs of all sizes. Some sites are equipped with electric hookups and all sites have picnic tables and fire pits. Additional amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, an amphitheater, and picnic areas. Sites are $14 per night for non-electric and $20 for electric sites. Reservations are available but must be made at least 4 days ahead of arrival.
