This outing is located at the uppermost reservoir of the Hells Canyon complex, which is a series of three dams built on the Snake River. It is placed in the Snake River Canyon, a hilly and semiarid region with beautiful cliffs, colorful rocks, and interesting formations. Brownlee Reservoir is among the most heavily fished waters in Idaho with bass, catfish, crappie, perch, bluegill and rainbow stocked. The Mountain Man Lodge is located on Rock Creek Road at the eastern shore. This area has excellent dock and ramp facilities, a food market, beds, bathrooms, and future developments.
