Rainbow Springs state park is home to a first-magnitude freshwater spring that that produces approximately 500 million gallons of water per day. The spring and surrounding area provides abundant recreational opportunity including hiking, swimming, snorkeling, paddling, and wildlife viewing. The state park also offers a campground of 60 sites that can accommodate tents or RVs up to 103 feet in length. All sites have water, electricity, and sewer hookups. There is also a dump station available on site. Other amenities include grills, picnic tables, showers, restrooms, and laundry facilities. The cost per site is $30 per night. Reservations are available but must be made at least a day in advance.
