This campground is one of two improved campgrounds located on Karick Lake in Blackwater River State Forest. The 65-acre lake is a good spot for fishing, paddling, and hiking. The north campground consists of 16 sites with electricity and water that can accommodate tents and RVs. Other amenities on site include fire pits, picnic tables, restrooms, showers, playground, and a boat ramp. Swimming is not allowed due to Alligators. The cost per site is $15 per night. The sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a primitive group campground site available as well but that must be reserved before arrival.
