This route is a fun gradual downhill stroll along the New Santa Fe Trail. It is dirt part of the way, but very smooth and easy to ride. The route has a few educational interpretive signs and passes along the Air Force Academy territory. Be sure to stay on the trail here. The route eventually leaves the New Santa Fe Trail and onto the Pikes Peak Greenway to Colorado Springs. This is a multi use trail so be courteous to other recreating.
