The Seven Teacups offers an exciting adventure with a series of 7 round pools and waterfalls in between to rappel down. The highest is 60 ft also expect some swimming. It is best done in late summer as safe river flows are necessary for a successful trip. The route begins at the Johsonsvale Bridge and hikes to the head of the Seven Teacups. You will then descend down to the famous Kern River. Crossing the river can be difficult and water flow needs to be safe for this crossing. If flows on the fourth falls are not safe you should consider following the approach route back instead of descending to the Kern. Bring rappelling and anchor gear, 160 ft. rope, 20 ft. webbing, 3 rappel rings, drybags.
