The ride out to Bald Mountain Lookout is a scenic and challenging ride through the Sierra National Forest on the western slope of Sierra Nevada. While the lookout is the main attractions, several challenging spots and obstacles will also be very memorable and test even the most experienced drivers. The ride features some large rocks, ledges, solid granite slabs, and lots of sand. Modified vehicles are recommended when making the trip but high-clearance, aggressive 4x4s may do alright.
