The Superstition Mountains are located east of Phoenix off Highway 88. It's a very unique range that features pointed volcanic peaks, pinnacles, mesas, and plenty of cacti. The Hand stands at about 150 feet, and it's on the left side of the Northwest Pinnacles. Most of the routes here are traditional, and keep in mind that it's illegal to place bolts in the Superstition Wilderness. There is a day use fee that can be purchased at the Ranger Station. Camping is also available in the area with facilities that include shelters, toilets, and showers.
